Methodology
Accelerator experiments are planned to be carried out at three different laboratories specialized in different experimental techniques. These experiments will be pre-screening reactor fuel materials.
Different installations for gas-loading experiments are planned across several laboratories. These setups will work with various fuel types, atmospheric conditions, and temperature ranges.
Sonication based experiments will also be performed, and compared against gas-loading experiments.
Detection of low-level radiation, as a finger-print for investigated reaction mechanisms, will be carefully evaluated and compared against theoretical predictions.
Learning from initial experiment results, construction of new reactors will be performed in the project to optimize the power output and operating conditions.
