Expected results

The ambition of the project is to develop the following advances:

  • Perform accelerator experiments in order to validate the theoretical basis of HME

  • Develop a predictive theory to be able to specify materials that can be used in reactors with an increased efficiency

  • Synthetize active materials that work reliably and can be delivered at an affordable cost

  • Develop a sufficient knowledge of HME to be able to design devices that will deliver heat and electricity, and that can be easily controlled

  • Design efficient, portable, and compact stationary energy sources

  • Gather data to estimate potential costs for various scales of power and energy production

  • Develop procedures and safety rules for the future deployment of this technology
